Foot Care
Michelle Gamber is licensed by the state to provide Foot Care. She soaks feet, trims nails, and takes care of corns and callouses. The cost of this service is only $14.00. Michele has been providing this service at The Center for eight years and she is available by appointment on the first and third Wednesday; and the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

If you would like an appointment, please call The Center. Michelle is usually booked a month in advance, so call well in advance of when you would like to come in for Foot Care.

Senior Nutrition
Lunch is available at The Center at 12:00 noon for a suggested donation of $2.50 per person for seniors 60 plus and $5.50 per person for younger people.

The Senior Nutrition Program is operated by Senior Services for South Sound (SSSS).  SSSS provides two food service programs in Shelton and Mason County: Meals on Wheels and the Senior Lunch Program. SSSS provides these services using MCSAA's kitchen and dining room.
Senior Nutrition Program requests donations up to $2.50 per meal for those who can afford that much. Any donation is appreciated.

Funding for the Senior Nutrition Program comes from the Lewis, Mason and Thurston County Area Agency on Aging: USDA; individual and corporate donations and grants.

Senior Services for South Sound does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation or disability.
The actual cost of providing a home delivered meal (Meals on Wheels) is $4.00 per meal. The actual cost of providing meals served in the dining room is $4.38.

Potluck Luncheon
MCSAA provides a venue for seniors for a potluck luncheon every Friday. Occasionally, we even have live music before lunch. It's a pleasant time to get to know others and to enjoy a varied meal. Share a dish to serve 6-8 people.

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels provides meals, delivered to homebound seniors.
Meals are packaged and delivered by volunteers. Meals are provided for every day of the week. Hot meals are delivered Monday through Thursday within the Shelton city limits; frozen meals are provided for the days when a hot meal is not delivered. Clients within Mason County, but outside the city receive frozen meals weekly or bi-monthly, depending on distance from town.

To qualify for Meals on Wheels, clients must be homebound because of disability, and over 60 years old, or be a state Copes client. Call the Senior Nutrition Manager to determine eligibility and to register for Meals on Wheels service.

Meals are now prepared in MCSAA's kitchen in Shelton by a professional cook with the assistance of volunteers. Menus are supervised by a staff dietitian. Both the cook and dietitian are employed by SSSS.
Volunteers are always needed.
